Sanará Studio Case Study

Sanará Studio is a yoga and wellbeing sanctuary in Kingston, just south of Hobart. Founder Christina How teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa, seasonal yoga and outdoor classes from a garden studio, and offers private Five Element Acupressure.

The name comes from Spanish and Portuguese: sanará, “will heal.” Christina built the studio after years in corporate work in Sydney and more than a decade running a tourism business in Tasmania. Yoga had been her own recovery from stress and burnout. Sanará is a small, personal space, not a high-volume gym.

Like many independent studios, she needed software that stayed out of the way.

From Mindbody to classic KRIYA

Christina originally ran bookings on Mindbody. The platform is built for large, multi-location businesses. She was paying for a long list of features she did not use.

She migrated to classic KRIYA. Class bookings, passes and memberships sat in one Australian system that matched how a garden studio actually runs. Students book from her website. Christina can see who is coming without logging into software designed for a chain.

The problem

Booking was solved. Lead capture was not.

People who found Sanará online still needed a way to leave their email and stay in touch before they booked a class. Christina kept Mailchimp for that. The form lived on her website. The list lived in Mailchimp. Her clients, newsletters and SMS lived in KRIYA / CoreBookings.

The cost was $40 a month, plus a second login for a job that should have sat next to her clients.

The solution

Christina asked us to add a leads module to CoreBookings. She wanted one place to collect enquiries, nurture them with email and convert them into clients.

The brief was practical:

  • A low-friction form that visitors would actually complete
  • A widget she could embed on sanara.studio
  • Follow-up through the CoreBookings newsletter and SMS modules she already had
  • A way to turn a lead into a client without exporting a list

We implemented the add-on for her.

The form is short on purpose. A visitor can join the list without a long signup. The widget sits on her site, so they never leave the page. New leads land in CoreBookings beside existing clients. From there Christina can send a newsletter or an SMS, then convert someone into a client when they are ready to book.

The result

  • A leads form and website widget, instead of a Mailchimp embed
  • Enquiries, clients and follow-up in one system
  • Newsletter and SMS used to nurture people who have not booked yet
  • Leads converted into clients without a spreadsheet in between
  • The $40 a month Mailchimp subscription cancelled

For a small Hobart studio, that is one less tool and one less bill. Christina can collect interest from the website, stay in touch, and turn those people into students from the same place she already runs the timetable.

If you want to capture leads on your own site and follow up without a separate email platform, the CoreBookings leads add-on was built for that.
